Organic Certification Workshops
Australian Certified Organic and Organic Growers of Australia will host Organic Certification Workshops in 2012.
The workshops are free to attend and specifically for growers interested in taking the next step towards achieving organic certification. The event is also an excellent opportunity for those who want to make key contacts and network with industry members.
Consisting of assisting with developing a farm plan, technical advice and practical talks, the days give an insight into small organic farming systems and the entire organic supply chain.
The workshop is led by an ACO and OGA certification advisor accompanied by a production consultant/ agronomist enabling all questions on certification and production to be answered. A typical format for the day includes:
8:30am Assembly
9:00am Introduction
9:15am Step by step completion of the Organic Management Plan
10:40am Sponsor presentation
10:45am Morning tea break
11:15am Grower presentation
11:45pm Sourcing and identifying allowable inputs
12:15am Q & A
1:00pm Close
